On this paper. I will be discoursing a theatrical opera from PBS. org called “IL POSTINO” ( The Postman ) ; it was adapted by Daniel Catan from the 1994 Oscar-winning Italian movie Il Postino as an opera. The drama depicts portion of the life of Pablo Neruda’s expatriate to Italy. Pablo Neruda was a celebrated Chilean writer/poet who wrote largely about love. and had communist ideals and thoughts which frequently caused him serious jobs. Due to those jobs. the poet ( Pablo Neruda ) had to travel to the island of Cala di Sotto. The local mailman. Mario a fisherman dreamer meets Mr. Neruda and the secret plan starts… . I truly enjoyed the drama. largely because I grew up in Venezuela and Italy and understand both linguistic communications really good. so I understood the words without holding to read the interlingual rendition which is good but non perfect. The subject is good ; the performing artists are great ( I love Placido Domingo’s voice. ) Combined with a simple set. great lighting. realistic costumes. sound and music are critical in any opera. the kineticss are good.
Even though I consider it a great drama. the pronunciation is non. the speech patterns are non existent. and the talker is non of Italian or Chilean beginning or speech pattern. Very few people would detect such a thing and I am one of them. I like the simpleness of the phase and how it was easy changed from one location to the following. I disliked some of the words pronunciations as they had to be modified to the opera sounds. but the same happens in most linguistic communications. The drama merely expresses the deficiency of basic necessities such as H2O. and how it compares to other states such as The United States of America. The address is clear and easy to understand. with great motion and motive. The grades of dramatic strength fluctuate continuously keeping the audiences’ attending.
My married woman and I watched the drama together. the emotional feelings towards the drama were high. and we like the subject since we were both familiar with Pablo Neruda and the histrion playing his function. We didn’t like some of the words used. but once more most people would non cognize the difference. If I could alter something. it would be the pronunciation speech pattern to more reliable Chilean. At the beginning. one of the histrions has the perfect diction. Mario on the other manus has a heavy Spanish speech pattern ( from Spain. ) Placido Domingo has besides a heavy speech pattern from Spain. but he is able to alter it during his public presentations. In decision. Daniel Catan was able to take a film and converted into a fantastic opera. retaining many inside informations from the original film. The drama expresses great feelings about sex. love. societal issues. and political relations. It allows the audience to understand the narrative in a dramatic manner maintaining their attending through the full drama.
