Dear NYU Admissions Staff,
I am writing this letter for the aim of your reconsideration of my application to the Stern School of Business. I consider myself a very dedicated student, who can persevere through coursework and persuade you that this is so. The Stern School is revered for its strides toward diversity and a global focus. I believe that if you could focus on my diverse talents and global knowledge of business, you will see that I am the perfect candidate for admission. I have achieved many accolades in the recent past that should prove that I am passionate and persistent in learning more relevant business practices through interning, working, and my independent international business research.
With my ability to grasp English, Mandarin, and Japanese, I have succeeded greatly in my summer internship with IBM. There I have learned, not only how a large global company is run, but how foreign investors and clients react and embrace new technologies. Similarly, my part-time job at a trading company has allowed me to understand how to stay competitive in the global market. I consistently have found the most efficient and cost-effective ways to trade and I consider my efficiency in many areas of business one of my strongest traits. Not only have I interned and worked as a trader this summer, but I have continued to broaden my knowledge base of business trends throughout the world, as a dedicated student in the field. My community service work as both an EMT and an organizer of a student club that allowed me to help others with their Chinese language skills, prove too, that I am very team-oriented and manage my time and my priorities very well. I believe that you will be most pleased with what I can accomplish in your program and would sincerely appreciate your reconsideration.
