The Order on which the news were caste is as follow. First was the politics which really denominated the news-session. Followed by Crime, Healthcare, Business, Education, Economics, Entertainment and Sports. The politics news was about the Obama, Mc Cain clash in tense final debate. With the early on the final US presidential debate, John McCain underscored how aggressively he wanted to tackle what for him might have been the do-or die event barely three weeks before voters troop to the polls on November 4.

I merely remember part of the exchange that was interesting:

Obama: “When people suggest that I pal around with terrorists, then we are not talking about the issue……”

McCain: “About Mr. Ayers, I don’t care about an old washed- up terrorist, but …..we need to know the full extent of that relationship. We need to know the full extent on Sen. Obama’s relationship with Acorn, which who is now on the verge of perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history in this country, may be destroying the fabric of democracy.”

Obama: Mr. Ayers has become the centerpiece of Sen McCain’s campaign over the last two or three weeks. This has been their primary focus. So let’s get the record straight. Bill Ayers is a professor of education in Chicago.

Obama had 53per cent support to Mr. McCain’s 39 percent in the National opinion Polls. On the CBS news Mr. Obama lead was three points higher than in the previous poll on October 6.

“Among independent who are likely voters – a group that has swung back and forth between McCain and Obama over the course of the campaign – the democratic ticket now leads by 18 points. It is widely seen that McCain spends more time in attacking Obama than explaining what he will do as president”. CBS news reported.

Africa news Thabo Mbeki to wind up the consultation to break the impasses over the allocation of cabinet posts to Zimbabwe’s three main political parties under the power sharing agreement with reports that a deal was imminent.

This is the evidence through the light of the professional responsibility and marketing perspectives that the newscast was reflecting the world’s politics more so the American elections and the election crisis worldwide in the extension. By examining the devoted time in the above table, this was ten minutes, it portrays that the world revolves around the politics and these politics are American politics centerpiece and other parts politics are less keenly observed by the world or less paid attention to.

Example of an episodic story: Since the September 11 the media of America’s war and terror has been both length and intense. The consequent war in Afghanistan has been the subject of long periods to an extent that everybody in the US knows about the Middle East.

The example of thematic story: The story of Obama and McCain are an example of thematic. It portrays the racial inequality which is the best example of thematic framed story. The themes that are correlated are politics and racial inequality where the blacks are considered inferior while the white are superior in political issues.

For the episodic and thematic stories, Crime stories and terrorism stories are examples but the percentage of whether episodic or thematic varies. I can compliment that any story about crime and terrorism falls under episodic. The war in Afghanistan is episodic because of the following reasons: First, It is the story that depicts the specific events and the illustrations of the already known. Secondly, is because it’s the information provided by the media according to the information gathered. And the story of Obama and McCain from (the racial inequality point of view) is because it depicts the issues more generally either in terms of collective outcomes, public policy debates and historical trends. Other examples of episodic stories can be the story of poverty, drought and famine while other examples of thematic stories include unemployment and racial inequalities. The main difference between episodic framing and thematic framing is that in episodic it focuses only on specific events or particular cases while thematic puts the political issues and events into some general context. For instance a particular act of terrorism would be episodic while socioeconomic or the political effects of terrorism would be thematic.

At the end of the news I felt that the news of whether focusing was de-emphasized from the table above it was only presented for 30 seconds hence its meaning in the news was reduced or minimized.
