Thoughts and Impressions It’s our pleasure using the trade pass to vaults the Singapore airship 2014. This event is the Sais’s biggest for aviation’s finest, different international organizations have joined this event such as famous aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing. We enjoyed the aerobatic flying display on the third day of the trip which is the opening of the airship. Many fighter aircraft such as OFF, black eagles flew in high speed, some of them even flew faster than sound. We were so proud of those fighter pilots since the training of those fighter pilots Is very harsh.
They need to rotate 1 80/360 agree to fly which make pilots feel dizzy and feel the force of gravity. It Is not an easy task for everyone. On the other hand, we visited the static aircraft display. There were a lot of deferent types of aircraft not Just the aircraft used for transport purpose but also the helicopter, fighter aircraft, tank. We boarded the OFF fighter aircraft and AWAY. It was so amazing to emplace AWAY before it launch to the public. The staff of the Airbus Company explained a lot of information about the AWAY and they let us know more about this aircraft which has widened our horizons.
Although the enshrine was very strong in the display area and everyone got sunburn, it is worthwhile to visit the airship. The last day of the trip we could participate in the airship. We felt excited and ruefulness that we can visit Slipstream’s stand, with 5 operating business Jet models, because this was the first time we really get Into a real business Jet and may be It Is the last time that we could sit on the luxurious sofa We were separated into 2 groups to look around the business jets in the stands, based on the request of the crew of each aircraft.
We felt deeply impressed by the crew on board, their speeches an be easily understood and they answered our questions accurately. However our group thought it would be a great and fruitful ending for the trip if we could have sufficient time to walk around all aircrafts. Afterwards, we were brought into the booth of Slipstream for a little briefing and thanks, but our group and other teammates Included some guests and tutors were “abandoned” outside the booth and we could hear nothing from the briefing. We suggest that, we can separate into 2 small groups by coach if we have the similar visit.
One of them will have a little reefing and the other can look around the Jets, then after a while the groups change their position. Overall we still think the visit of Slipstream is useful for our future career and we have learnt a lot form the crew on board, but there are some problems that can be solved to Improve the visit. Our vaults to The Singapore Polytechnic was arranged on Day 5. It is a school that trains technologists and professionals for the future development of Singapore in different aspects like business, engineering and designs.
The laboratories of the Aerospace Systems and Aeronautical Engineering eve us a great impression about the effort put in the development of aviation industry by the Singapore government. Different types of engines, avionics, and even an Airbus AWAY Flight Simulator are well equipped In the School. Unlike the practical training and doing experiments. They can closely study the structure of a real aircraft and have the chance to invent an aircraft by themselves. This strengthens their knowledge by putting the theory learnt in lessons into real situations.
Throughout the visit, we observed that the students in the Polytechnic are very keen on learning. They all focus on their tasks and always work as a team. The school creates a peaceful atmosphere that motivates them to study. Moreover, they are welcoming and very outgoing too. Some of them spoke to us actively with friendly greetings. The learning environment of the school is wonderful. On the first day of our trip, we woke up early and visited the CAE. CAE is a company which provides simulation and modeling technologies and integrated training solutions for the civil aviation industry and defense forces around the globe.
Firstly, we had a talk of introduction of CAE. The content of the talk included the background information f CAE, the aim of CAE with their duties, and also the future development of CAE. After listening the explanation of Mr.. Damson’s, we all had a brief understanding of CAE. Then, we were led to have a look of the building. As CAE provides training for the cadets, there were rooms provided with different purposes for them to learn in order to finish their courses. After that, we were given a chance to take a seat in AWAY flight simulator and we were excited to have a flight inside.
It was so pleasant that the instructor kept guiding us how to fly correctly in order to complete HTH flight. For our group, we did enjoy it very much! It was a good experience for us to realize how complicated to control a flight. All in all, the CAE visiting really enlarge our knowledge as we do not have many chances to look closely to the cockpit simulator in HACK. We are all happy to have a chance to visit CAE. We visited the Universal Studio on the third day of our trip. It was a great day for all of us!
